Item Description

A massive specimen of very rich Germanite ore from level 37 of the Tsumeb Mine, deep in its third oxidation zone. This region was noted for its incredible wealth of very rare elements and minerals containing Germanium, among others. This specimen has a superb metallic luster, and a lovely iridescence, thanks in a large part to the pinkish-violet Germanite. Other minerals often in association are Galena, Chalcopyrite, and possibly Tennantite and Renierite. In this case, they would be micro in size. For what it is, an excellent and rare specimen.
