King County lies between Puget Sound and the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the East. Seattle is in the county, as are the famous quartz collecting localities of Denny Mountain and the Spruce Claim. "This report is primarily a discussion of the individual mineral deposits of King County, but brief discussions of the geology and water resources are included." 200 pages, 6 plates, 103 figures and 28 tables. It also includes a 5 page copy of Gem and Ornamental Stones and Quartz Crystals (Washington counties with map and localities). Good condition with some foxing on back cover.
