Some of the finest recent examples, and some say the world's finest examples, of the rare Helvine Group species, Genthelvite have come from this now-famous and remote Chinese mine. A striking intergrown cluster of sharp, lustrous, brown, tetrahedral crystals, to 1.1 cm, is jauntily perched atop magnetite crystal matrix with a nifty accenting quartz spray on one side. That's blue tack at the base of the piece. This is an outstanding and very uncommon 360-degree combination thumbnail in this quality.
