RARE, GEMMY wulfenite crystals with two crystal habits from the well-known 2007-2008 finds in the San Juan Poniente area of famed Mina Ojuela. Very glassy, lustrous, gemmy, butterscotch-colored, pseudocubic and tabular wulfenite prisms are richly and aesthetically clustered on the undulating, sturdy, gossan small cabinet matrix. The striking, dominating, large pseudocubic crystal is 1.1 x 1.1 x 0.6 cm and the largest tabular prism is 1.3 cm long. A few scattered, tiny, apple-green, mimetite botryoids are a typical accessory and complement. The few noted broken secondary wulfenites are certainly a minimal detraction. The matrix has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Exceptional gemminess on these outstanding wulfenite crystals from the renowned locale.
