Item Description

A glorious 1.4 cm gemmy wulfenite crystal is jauntily set on gossan matrix on this very fine example from the 2003 Red Gem Pocket discovery at the renowned Red Cloud Mine. The lustrous, glassy crystal has the rich reddish-orange color and sharp beveled edges characteristic of the find. A nice surprise is the underlying massive calcite vein, that fluoresces rich reddish-orange under UV light. Choice material from the Paul Harter and Bruce Murphy Collections.
