Item Description

A deceptive and aesthetic tourmaline crystal cluster from the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The highly lustrous, well-striated crystals look like schorls under normal light. BUT, when backlit the true gemminess and rich colors come to the fore. The lower half of the large crystal is a beautifully gemmy bottle-green. The dramatically etched olive-green termination rests atop the translucent olive-green to bottle-green upper half. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, the impressive large crystal is nearly pristine, with only a barely noticeable bit of bruising lower in the etched termination. Classic, old-time tourmaline from the 1960s and 70s finds. Valued at $1600 by the former dealer.
