Item Description

Rich mandarin-orange color on this lustrous, gemmy, transparent to translucent spessartine garnet from the 2007-2008 finds in Tanzania. NOW GONE - no more are being found! The sharp modified trapezohedron has striking flashes of rich golden-yellow color and a bit of included and attached matrix. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A couple of contacts have no damage, per se. 34 grams mass. A beautiful spessartine with a lot of geometric appeal, too. It GLOWS, when backlit! valued $750-1000
