Item Description
Drop-dead gorgeous, gemmy, intensely dark cherry-red, rounded rhodochrosite crystals form a startling and outstanding mounded specimen from the famous N'Chwaning II Mine. The subtly complex, and lustrous faces of the crystals really add to the attractiveness of this uncommon varietal. The deep cherry-red color saturation and gemminess are about as good as it gets from this locality. Specimens of this type and quality were very few in the famous late 1970s finds. Ex Charlie Key Collection. Valued at $1800 and well worth it.
