Item Description
A striking cluster of gorgeous, gemmy, intensely cherry-red, realgar prisms from China. The beautiful, doubly terminated, well-striated crystal is 3.4 cm. This crystal is nearly pristine, with only slight edge wear. This is fine 1980s material, when they first reached the West. These are amongst the most beautiful red crystals in the mineral kingdom. However, note that they can be very light-sensitive and turn dark over time when exposed to light! Ex Howard Belsky Collection, prior to his untimely in 1987.
