Riveting, sparkly, gemmy, apple-green, textbook, hexagonal pyromorphite prisms, to 6 mm, are festooned on the front of the very 3-dimensional and sculptural, contrasting, 360-degree small cabinet quartz matrix. The back side is mostly covered with another pyromorphite generation of crystals, that are still highly lustrous, but are a darker green and are translucent. The scattered attachment points reveal the underlying quartz matrix and are quite pleasing, in contrast. This striking, gemmy piece is from the early 2000s finds at the renowned Daoping Mine, one of the world's great pyromorphite localities with an amazing diversity of crystal forms and green hues.
