Item Description
Beautiful color-zoning highlights this classic gemmy Tourmaline Queen mine elbaite. The very glassy, well-striated trigonal crystal has very gemmy (hard to see), 8 mm termination zone. The water-clear termination is a narrow purple cap with a gorgeous teal-blue zone below. The base is a pretty pink, which surrounds the grayish-green core. Complete all-around. Very minor scattered bruising on the termination edges is noted, but this is very fine and shapely example of the classic style and famed locale. From old (1970s-1980s mostly) finds, and seldom on the market today. 57 grams mass. valued $2000
