A 2.8 cm, gemmy, terminated and layered phlogopite crystal, with lovely rich golden amber color is jauntily set on edge of the marble matrix wedge with fragments of smaller crystals on one side. The quality of the phlogopite is very fine for this locality, and these specimens are not nearly as obtainable as they were a few years ago. The crystal GLOWS, when backlit. Greenish-yellow fluorescence for the phlogopite and red for the marble. The piece looks great from either side. Classic and outstanding phlogopite from the Dr. Ed David Collection.
