Gemmy phantom Fluorite xls w/ Quartz (Sanabria Coll.)

Item Description

An impresssive and rich large fluorite plate from this well-known Berbes area mine. The striking gem, very glassy, water-clear, rich purple cubes, to 3.0 cm, have satin lustre faces. The cubes are dramatically accented with stepped-growth modified corners. Bright lighting and backlighting reveals, that all of the many crystals have subtle sharp interior phantoms, adding real pizzazz to the piece. Scattered areas of scintillating drusy quartz points are a fine contrast and accessory. The rich field of crystals across the top are pristine, with the bruised crystals noted on the lower right certainly being only a modest detraction. Classic, excellent richly colored large fluorite from La Cabana from the Sanabria Collection and mined in December, 1987. Valued at $1000. MUCH BETTER in person.
