Item Description
SUPERB SPECIMEN from the 1960s or before! Gemmy, brilliant, highly desirable "electric-blue", linarite crystals fill a well-placed, 2.1 cm vug in sculptural azurite, malachite and gossan matrix on this outstanding and showy specimen from the famous Grand Reef Mine of Arizona. This piece is notable, in that the crystals are extremely gemmy. The stunning, razor-sharp tabular crystal is 6 mm. Very highly desirable, older material, seldom seen on the market. This should be a $750-1000 specimen, and is really good for what you could normally find for this species from this note locale. There are sometimes larger crystals, but few of such outstanding electric gemminess and color saturation. Older material from the Dennis Mullane Collection (he was a dealer in the 1950s-1970s).
