Incredible, steel-blue color lights up on this gorgeous, gemmy, sculptural, parallel-growth, indicolite tourmaline. The high glassy luster and striated faces add to the pizzazz of this striking crystal. Both ends are broken, a bit of side wear is noted and a couple of the side car ends are contacted with embedded clay. The crystal is gemmy from top to bottom, which is uncommon for Afghanistan indicolites. This is certainly among the most intense blue indicolites we have offered at auction from any locality. This would make great cutting rough or a fine indicolite specimen. 65 grams.
