Gemmy Indicolite Tourmaline (12 grams)

A gemmy, classic indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010 finds at the renowned Pederneira Mine. The color is a classic beautiful teal-blue with a frosted healed pinacoidal termination. This terminated beauty has negligible internal layering and veils. The striated trigonal crystal is super glassy with satin lustre faces. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. One side has a 5.5 cm long contact from the base, where another crystal once lay, but there is not damage, per se. A small contact on another face also has no damage. The single clean repair 3.2 cm from the base is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. A classic indicolite from the locale with excellent gemminess. 12 grams mass. MUCH better in person!!
