Item Description
A very pleasing matrix cluster of equant, lustrous, lime-green, peridot crystals in starkly contrasting, snow-white kaolinite clay matrix from Soppat, Pakistan. This is a classic and very uncommon matrix example of what have become some of the finest peridot crystals in the world. No world locality has produced the quality and quantity of euhedral peridot crystals like Soppat. All of the crystals are gem quality, cutter material. The striking large crystal is 2.7 cm. The crystals are all pristine on the display view. The large crystal has a partially etched, with no damage, per se, termination. These were relatively common for a short while and now are hard to get. An outstanding matrix peridot specimen and valued at $1000 - matrix pieces are VERY rare still to this day!
