Item Description

Yellow fluorite cubes from the famous Hilton Mine are much rarer and are highly desirable compared with purple and green varieties from Cumbria and Durham. This fine mounded cluster of gemmy, transparent to translucent, very glassy, interpenetrating cubes has fine amber color. These are large crystals for the locale, to 2.7 cm, and the piece has many fine display views. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only a couple of spots of barely noticeable bruising. The noted minimal periphery wear has no impact to the importance of this rich and excellent piece. Super fluorescence, as you expect. Very fine old-time material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Valued at $1500-1750.
