Item Description

An extremely rare and superb, gemmy, fluorapatite crystal from the famous Siglo XX Mine. This very glassy, tabular, floater, thumbnail has textbook hexagonal form and is color-zoned. Much of the outer rim is water-clear, colorless gem, while the interior is a pretty pastel-pink. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A couple of trivial spots of edge wear are noted. The back is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. VERY RARE older material and seldom on the market in this gemmy, colorful quality. Ex Jaime Bird Thumbnail Collection.
