An excellent, gemmy and lustrous, yellow-green, fluorapatite crystal from the well-known iron mine at Cerro de Mercado. For the size, it is definitely one of the better ones we have offered at auction. The upper half has a very modest amount of internal crazing. The crazing causes gorgeous, yellow-green rainbow effects in any light. The intensely striated termination faces and sidecar crystals really add character. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, a very trivial amount of termination edgewear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. Ex Dr. Ed David Collection.
