Gemmy Emerald (New Find - 69.82 carats)

A large, sharp, striking, glassy, gemmy to translucent, parallel-growth, dual terminated emerald crystal with rich green color from a New Find at this less well-known emerald trading area. The fine color is comparable to Colombian emerald. High praise, indeed. The upper 8 mm of both terminations is quite gemmy, with the rest of the crystal being translucent with veils. Complete all-around and pristine. The back is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. 69.82 carats or 14 grams mass. Valued by the former dealer at $2000 (I bought out the specimens shortly after). A rare new emerald find. MUCH BETTER in person!!
