Gemmy Emerald (New Find - 62.35 carats)

A striking, large, sharp, glassy, gemmy to translucent, terminated emerald crystal with rich green color from a New Find at this less well-known emerald trading area. The fine color is comparable to Colombian emerald. High praise, indeed. The upper 5 mm of the crystal is quite gemmy, with the rest of the crystal being translucent with veils. Complete all-around and pristine. Parts of the termination are stepped-growth, as are parts of three sides of the textbook hexagoal crystal. 62.35 carats or over 12 grams mass. Valued by the former dealer at $250 0 (I bought out the specimens shortly after). A rare new emerald find. MUCH BETTER in person!!
