Item Description
Jos emeralds are rare and can get very large, but like this one, they are usually under-saturated in color. That said, this one is a beautiful blue-green color. The upper one-third is a water-clear gem. The lustrous prism faces are lightly striated and the termination is much more interesting from a crystallographic viewpoint from Colombian emeralds, with highly modified pinacoidal termination. In addition, some faces are water-clear, while others are lightly etched. This particular emerald weighs 28.87 carats or 5.7 grams. MUCH BETTER AND MORE GEMMY IN PERSON!
