Item Description
Cute, classic and unusual tourmaline from the famed Himalaya Mine. The gemmy, glassy, well-striated, doubly terminated, bi-colored crystal has a classic rich "Himalaya pink" body lightly sprinkled with lepidolite crystals on one side. One termination is a very dark matte purple with a beautiful gemmy apple-green section below. The basal termination is most unusual, possibly an overgrowth from a break, being a myriad of tiny pastel-green terminated crystals with striking cityscape architecture. The crystal GLOWS, when backlit. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of upper termination edge wear, which is certainly only a modest detraction. Classic and unusual older material from the 1960s or 70s finds. 41 grams mass. Ex S. Schwarzinger Collection.
