A 1.2 cm, gorgeous, rich violet-red gemmy doubly terminated red beryl crystal is dramatically set on the very sculptural rhyolite matrix on this outstanding and aesthetic small cabinet from the renowned Wah Wah Mts. This sharp, glassy, highly lustrous, textbook, hexagonal red beryl is mostly gemmy and is included with only a bit of typical rhyolite "sand", that gets into these as they grow. The couple of smaller nearby beryls are a super accessory. This is the only place on the planet to find such red crystals. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet. This is an exquisite and highly desirable small cabinet matrix specimen with very architectural form from the renowned locale. The minimum value for this beauty is $1500 , one would think. It is superb qcolor and quality, balanced, and in a good size and price range.
