Gemmy DT Hambergite (rare) ex Obodda

Item Description

Hambergite is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites and is uncommon from these famous tourmaline pegmatites at Anjanabonoina. This very glassy, lustrous, gemmy, colorless crystal is doubly terminated and has a light iron oxide coating. Etching on all faces gives the piece a very interesting form and look. One side is partially cleaved and dinged, but has very little impact to the overall highly quality of this rare piece. Older material. The label on the piece is in German. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this fine rarity at $800, over five years ago. 14 grams mass. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
