Item Description

An impressive and aesthetic large intergrown pair of gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystals from this famous mine. The crystals have the highly desirable gemmy, golden-amber tips and the crystals are more uniformly amber color, than most you see of this size. The twinning planes are very well-developed on both crystals and the bit of silicified limestone matrix with purple fluorite and sharp sphalerites are a fine accent. The gorgeous upper crystal has only a trivial bit of edge wear on one tip and the other termination is gently cleaved. One tip of the lower crystal has a super trivial cleave, while the other end is cleaved. This remains a striking, highly representative large pair of calcites from this classic locale.
