Item Description
A dramatic, large, doubly terminated and twinned, calcite crystal with a striking single, classic, golden-amber gem termination from the famous Elmwood Mine. The golden gem tip is essentially pristine, with only very gentle rubbing. The lighter end has a gently cleaved tip and just a bit of bruising and contacting is noted on the front and along the top of the piece. There is also a contact along the top of the lighter end, but with no damage, per se. These certainly have minimal impact to the aesthetic quality of this sculptural calcite. Specks of black bitumen hydrocarbon are scattered about. The attachment point on the back was with bladed barite. Classic older material from the Consie Prince Collection.
