Item Description
A fascinating, highly sculptural floater cluster of gemmy, bi-colored elbaites beautifully accented with purple lepidolites and a small cleavelandite cluster from this renowned pegmatite. The highly lustrous, well-striated, translucent, gemmy, olive-green bodies have fabulous dark purple to gemmy, rich blue indicolite tips with matte terminations on the two large crystals. All of the crystals are doubly terminated. The large upper sidecar has a broken and healed termination. The striking lower sidecar has a broken, bent and etched termination. A really nifty, pristine, artistic elbaite combination from the Steve Smale Collection. Steve priced this piece to me at $1000 in a large trade about 10 years ago. It is worth $1750-2000 today. 84 grams mass.
