Item Description

A superb modified, octahedral cuprite crystal from the famous Onganja Mine of Namibia. This cutie has been etched out from under a coating of malachite and the cuprite faces are pitted. A nifty terminated quartz crystal is a super accent. The surfaces retain excellent luster. This crystal is complete all-around and is pristine. The frontlit and backlit photos highlight the gemminess and intense, cherry-red color saturation. Outstanding classic material from the 1970s. Ex Carlton Davis Thumbnail Collection.
