Item Description
A "gem" of a 2-piece deal of gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored tourmalines from the famous Himalaya Mine. Both of the crystals have very gemmy, variably olive-green, lower sections followed by classic, pretty "Himalaya-pink" zones. One crystal has a narrow, 3 mm section of teal-blue and green below the lustrous, frosted termination, while the other crystal has a 7 mm section below the frosted termination. Both are complete all-around. The wider crystal has a partially chipped termination. The other crystal has termination edge wear and a contact on one side. Both crystals have a gem nodules at their bases. These are classic, well-striated, polychrome beauties from this renowned locale and would make excellent cutter material. 41 grams total weight - 23 and 18 grams each. Ex Hubert de Monmonier & University of Arizona Museum Collections (definitely older pieces).
