Item Description
A sculptural and impresssive intergrown pair of doubly terminated bi-colored gemmy tourmalines from the well-known Otjua Mine. A striking, hoppered, highly angled blush-pink termination crowns the large crystal and the basal crystal is also capped with pink. Both crystals have dark purple pinacoidal terminations. The 1.5 cm doubly terminated crystal at the connection is a super cute accessory. The satin lustre of the well-striated crystals obscures the true gemminess and beautiful color of this exceptional tourmaline. The crystals appear to be green, but the back lighting reveals the gorgeous layered teal-blue color. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A contact on one side, where another crystal once lay, has no damage per se and a trivial nearby bruise have no impact to the overall oustanding quality of this very artistic tourmaline pair. A very uncommon style 360-degree gem polychrome tourmaline from the 1970s to early 1990s finds. 41 grams mass. Ex Shields Flynn Collection. SELDOM on the market today. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
