Gemmy bi-colored Tourmaline w/ Lepidolite (old - Robertson Coll.)

Old-time, classic and beautiful tourmaline and lepidolite from the famed Himalaya Mine. This thumbnail cutie is highlighted by the pretty bi-colored gem green at the top with a watermelon green rind and pink interior at the base. The termination is frosted. Beautiful lilac lepidolite plates are a super accent to this outstanding 360-degree thumbnail, that has only a trivial bit of termination edge wear. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2701 and acquired from Bob Dye in Compton in 1962. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
