A gorgeous and highly deceptive gemmy bi-colored watermelon tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. Backlighting reveals the rich interior classic "Himalaya pink" color of the base of this beauty, as the green rind obscures the true color. A glorious gem apple-green section lies beneath the very glassy modified classic trigonal pinacoidal termination. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a modest bit of termination edge wear, which certainly has minimal impact to this very fine older crystal from the 1970s or 80s finds. 65.86 carats or 13 grams mass.
