Item Description

A fantastically sculptural, deeply fluted, gemmy bi-colored tourmaline from famous Barra da Salinas. The supremely glassy, well-striated body is a beautiful grass-green and is capped by a striking, complex pyramidal termination with lustrous, deep green to black, frosted/etched faces. The etching at the base exposing the gorgeous gemmy rose-red core gives the piece a sceptered look, for which Barra da Salinas is renowned. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial termination edge wear. An utterly fascinating and exellent bi-colored tourmaline from the Art Soregaroli Collection. 40 grams mass. Valued at $2000-2500.
