Item Description
An old-time, gemmy, deceptive, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The central section of the very glassy, well-striated crystal is beautiful, gem, bottle-green. Hard-to-see, but there is a narrow, teal-blue zone below the unusual, frosted, matte-black termination. The basal section is translucent to opaque olive-green. The crystal glows when backlit. Complete all-around and pristine. Contacting, lower on two sides where other crystals once lay, have no damage, per se. An excellent and classic older example of this varietal from the 1960s or 70s from the S. Schwarzinger Collection. 35 grams mass.
