Item Description
Luscious color distinguishes this beautiful bi-colored tourmaline from the Malkhan pegmatites. The unusually showy and striking, modified pinacoidal termination is a highlight of this gemmy and lustrous crystal. The termination is dark purple and is surrounded by beautiful hot pink corners. The hot pink grades downward into a gemmy, light cinnamon orange. There is a gem nodule at the base. The striated faces and high luster add much character. Some faces are preferentially lightly frosted/etched. Pristine. It GLOWS with rich colors when backlit! 48 grams. Ex Ken Rippere Collection. Valued at $1500 for sharpness, rarity and quality.
