Item Description
Gemmy, bi-colored tourmalines with this rich color and quality are RARE from this Madagascar pegmatite field. This glassy, well-striated crystal has a beautiful rich orange complex pyramidal termination. A gemmy, teal-green section follows with a translucent transition zone of green to raspberry-red next. The lower 2.6 cm is gorgeous, pure gem, deep raspberry-red! Complete all-around and pristine. A lower contact, where another crystal once lay, has no damage per se. Striking and rare bi-colored tourmaline from the Pala International Collection and was long on display at the Fallbrook, California shop. 32 grams mass. Valued at $2500-3500. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Note this is probably liddicoatite, technically, as are many from there - but I have not analysed it. It would be a bonus in any case.
