Item Description
A cute, gemmy, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Stewart Mine. Most of this striated and glassy beauty is a beautiful light pink and has a striking, 8 mm, gem, achroite (colorless) termination area. The termination, itself, is frosted/etched and has a super-thin pink zone. Technically, this is a doubly terminated crystal, as the broken base is rehealed. Essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of termination wear. Rare and unusual, older material probably from the 1950s or 60s, from this renowned locale. Ex Bob Dawson Collection. 13 grams. Valued at $750.
