Item Description
Dramatically sculptural and very interesting bi-colored gemmy tourmaline from the famous Pederneira Mine. The impressive parallel-growth tapered main crystal has three different colors: The wide end with contacted terminations is a beautiful gem bottle-green; the gemmy mid-section is teal-green; and other terminated end is very dark purple to black with an etched matte termination. The dramatic and aesthetic side cars host a major surprise. Some of these crystals have gorgeous gem, rich grape-purple sections! They are all terminated and pristine. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A clean repair 2.0 cm down from the wide end is noted but is certainly acceptable in the context of this very fine, colorful and artistic pegmatite specimen. The crystals glow, when backlit. 31 grams mass. Classic and excellent bi-colored Pederneira tourmaline.
