Item Description
A striking, unusual, gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The frosted/etched pinacoidal termination is underlain by a beautiful, large section of classic, gem, very rich "Himalaya-pink". A sharp, healed break at the base gives way to translucent, pastel-pink with frosted faces. The purple lepidolites on the sides are a super accent. The base is actually terminated, but is is amazingly etched. The sharp-walled canyon held another crystal at one time. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of side wear. A classic, high-quality Himalaya tourmaline with richer, vivid pink color and a strange-looking etched termination. From the early 1980s finds. 56 grams. Valued at $1500-2000. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
