Gemmy bi-colored Elbaite (classic locale)

Item Description

A colorful and striking bi-colored, gemmy elbaite from this famous pegmatite. The striking offset pyramidal termination and part of the body are a luscious cranberry-red. The core of the crystal is a pretty bottle-green. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The contacting on one side of the crystal, where another elbaite once lay, has just a bit of brusing and reveals the green core. Classic, older material from the 1960s or 70s. 20 grams mass.
