Item Description
Striking, splendent, partially gemmy, "electric-blue" to midnight-blue, azurite crystals to 1.2 cm comprise this excellent miniature from recent finds at the Milpillas Mine of Mexico. The piece is very nearly pristine in the preferred horizontal display view, with trivial edge wear to the large crystal. Periphery wear on the back side is out-of-sight. These beautiful azurites compare very favorably with the best from Touissit, Tsumeb or Zacatecas. High praise, indeed. The smelter will be converting to sulfide ores soon. Pockets are expected to be few and far between in the future. Get them while you can!
