Gemmy Aquamarine xls w/ Muscovite (New Find)

Item Description

A 5.5 cm, gemmy, very glassy and lustrous aquamarine crystal with fine ice-blue color dominates this sculptural large intergrown specimen strikingly accented with pearlescent muscovite plates from a NEW FIND at Nagar. The variable length, number of hexagonal prisms, orientation of the aquas and the pearlescent muscovite plates add dramatic quality to the piece. Contacting lower on the sides, where other crystals once lay, with some bruising is noted. There is also a contact, with no damage, to the back of the termination of the large aqua. A showy cluster of richly colored aquas accented with muscovite from a new find. Better in person, as the glassiness, lustre and gemminess made photography difficult. Very little new material has come from the pegmatites of the Nagar area recently, due to the ongoing political strife in Pakistan.
