Gemmy Aquamarine xls (NEW Find)

Item Description

Three generations of aquamarine crystals on this dramatic and sculptural large specimen from a NEW find at Nagar, Pakistan. Rich ice-blue color highlights the impressive large water-clear to translucent, very glassy and lustrous, textbook hexagonal host aqua. This crystal is also doubly terminated, as the contacted base and lower back have only trivial bruising. A stunning artistic array of densely intergrown second generation gem aquas, with striking opposing prisms on the left side follows. The dominating upright aqua is about 3.2 cm tall and these crystals are a much lighter ice-blue. As you can see, there is a sharp demarcation of aqua crystal color and chemistry on the continous right prism face and edge of the large aqua. An interesting isolated "bench" of much smaller third generation, gem, nearly colorless aquas on the upper right finalizes this remarkable and otherworldly large and very complex aquamarine specimen. The fantastic frontal display is pristine.
