Item Description

Two rich ice-blue gemmy aquamarine crystals are aesthetically intergrown to form a sculptural 360-degree small cabinet from the classic pegmatites of the Shigar District. The textbook hexagonal crystals are water-clear to translcuent and have typical very glassy lustre. The upright aqua is 5.7 cm tall and the striking intersecting broad crystal is 4.7 cm wide. Complete all-around and in great shape. A small contact on one side of the upright crystal at the termination, where another crystal once lay, has trivial bruising. The basal periphery wear and contacting are certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. A showy and excellent example of the species and famed locale. 173 grams mass. Valued at $500.
