Gemmy Aquamarine (New Find)

Item Description

A striking, sharp, 4.0 cm, very glassy and lustrous aquamarine crystal with fine ice-blue color is jauntily set on aquamarine matrix accented with pearlescent muscovite plate from a NEW FIND at Nagar. The hexagonal crystal has a 1.8 cm gem termination area cappered by a glassy, modified pinacoidal termination. You can see straight down through the C-axis to the underlying translucent section of the aqua. This beautiful crystal is pristine. Very little new material has come from the pegmatites of the Nagar area recently, due to the ongoing political strife in Pakistan.
