Gemmy Aquamarine crystal

Very high glassy luster, fine light ice-blue color, the nifty groove on one side and beautiful water-clear zones at the termination and on the sides highlight this impressive aquamarine crystal from the famous Shigar Valley. The embedded albite, muscovite and a tiny aqua on the termination adds pizzazz. The textbook hexagonal crystal is complete all-around and is in good shape. The prism faces are pristine. A modest bit of termination edge wear and contacting at the base, with minimal bruising are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions to this showy, fairly large and highly representative example of the speces and noted locale. 114 grams mass. Valued at $1000-1250 and not readily replaceable today for the price (old purchases!)
