Gemmy Anglesite xls on Galena

Touissit and Tsumeb produced the worlds finest anglesites and this is a striking, excellent and very gemmy example. Extremely gemmy, rich golden-yellow crystals are aesthetically clustered on the massive galena matrix. The impressive, broad, sharply terminated, water-clear, gem crystal is 3.5 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm and the large crowning crystal with the partially contacted termination is 2.8 x 1.9 cm. The three major crystals have very lightly bruised termination edges, but are in very good shape, overall. Broken and contacted crystals are noted in the cluster, but this remains a fine example with extremely gemmy crystals having outstanding rich color. Touissit anglesites with this gemminess and rich color are seldom on the market and came out in the 1970s. Valued at $1500-2000.
