Item Description

This very rare hydrated copper arsenate gets its name from the latin word gemini for twin, as it often forms in twinned crystals. This species is only found in about 10 places in the world, and always in micro examples. This piece features small bright blue spots of Geminite on host rock matrix. An unknown pale green species is present as well (possibly nickelhexahydrite?). Best seen under the microscope, but we were able to photograph it with a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens. This is the only piece of this material that we've had to offer, and it comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
